Coleman-Marconett has an impressive background as a Marine Corps veteran, is currently pursuing her PhD in Higher Education, and is also the mom to young kids. She spoke passionately at the Johnson County Post forum about the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion, both based on her educational work as well as her lived experiences as a child adopted from China in the 1990s. It is very clear that she will center the needs of all students if elected.
