Benson has an extensive background in education, as a teacher, administrator and Superintendent, including as Superintendent for Blue Valley, while the district experienced a big growth spurt. Since then, he has also served in the state legislature. It would be almost impossible to find someone THIS qualified to serve on the Board. Benson is also a Gun Sense Candidate, meaning he has pledged to govern with gun violence prevention in mind.
