Recommended: vote yes
Housing affordability is one of my biggest concerns. I’m comfortable with California making a long-term investment in housing if the state can responsibly manage the repayment.
Recommended: vote yes
When I’m financially able to save money, I save it so I’m prepared when something goes wrong. I want California to maintain strong emergency savings too.
Recommended: vote yes
I’m comfortable continuing the existing higher tax rates on very high incomes to maintain funding for schools, health care, and other public programs.
Recommended: vote yes
I’m concerned about politicians relying heavily on large private donors. I’m comfortable allowing public campaign-financing alternatives that could reduce that dependence.
Recommended: vote yes
I don’t think someone should be able to become Governor with only 25–30% support simply because the replacement vote was divided among dozens of candidates. I’d rather use an established succession/vacancy process than allow someone with a small plurality to take office.
Recommended: vote yes
I want more middle-income Californians to have a realistic path to homeownership. I also like that participating homeowners repay these bonds rather than the state General Fund.
Recommended: vote yes
Cancer and Alzheimer’s have personally affected people in my family. I support investing in research that could produce better treatments for these and other diseases.
Recommended: vote no
California already has voter registration and identity-verification procedures. I don’t think these additional requirements justify the implementation cost, and I’m concerned another requirement could make voting more difficult for some eligible voters.
Recommended: vote yes
This tax targets people with extraordinary levels of wealth, not ordinary working families. I’m comfortable with a one-time tax on billionaire wealth, especially when most of the money would go toward health care.
Recommended: vote no
I like the idea of additional audits, but I strongly support Prop. 40. I don’t want Prop. 41’s spending-limit provisions potentially interfering with the billionaire wealth tax I’m voting for.
Recommended: vote no
I generally don’t like the idea of taxing ordinary people’s investments simply because they own them. However, Prop. 42 could interfere with Prop. 40’s billionaire wealth tax. Since I strongly support Prop. 40, I don’t want Prop. 42 potentially preventing it from taking effect.
Recommended: vote no
I prefer majority rule and getting things done. If more than half of voters support one of these local measures, I don’t think a minority of slightly more than one-third should necessarily be able to block it.
Recommended: vote yes
I want stronger accountability for how nonprofit community health clinics spend their money. I want more resources focused on patients, health-care workers, and services rather than unnecessary administrative overhead. I understand there’s uncertainty about how clinics will adapt, but I support putting more pressure on them to prioritize their health-care mission.
Recommended: vote yes
I am ok with this Prop not passing as well, but I am leaning more of a yes. I want California to make it easier and faster to build housing and important infrastructure. I’m comfortable with streamlining the process while recognizing that it reduces some existing environmental and legal review procedures.
I’m a California voter, parent, and content creator who believes informed voters make stronger communities.
I research candidates and ballot propositions to better understand what we’re voting on, how proposals could affect our communities, and what the potential benefits and drawbacks might be.
My recommendations reflect my personal research and opinions, not any political party or organization. I believe in questioning information, considering different perspectives, and changing my position when credible evidence warrants it.
My goal is simple: help more people understand what’s on their ballot so they can make their own informed decisions.
Xavier Becerra has experience serving at both the state and federal levels, including as California Attorney General, a member of Congress, and U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.
His public service record includes work involving healthcare access, consumer protection, and civil rights. These are areas I consider important when evaluating candidates for governor.
I’m also interested in how his experience would translate into addressing California’s housing affordability, cost of living, and other challenges.
I’m supporting Fiona Ma because of her experience in California government, including serving as State Treasurer, a member of the State Board of Equalization, and a state legislator.
Her background in public finance and government budgeting is relevant to the responsibilities of Lieutenant Governor. I value experience, financial accountability, and an understanding of how state government operates.
I also want California’s leadership to prioritize affordability, economic stability, and responsible management of public resources.
I’m supporting Malia Cohen because of her experience as California State Controller, her previous service on the State Board of Equalization, and her background in local government.
The State Controller plays an important role in overseeing public finances, financial reporting, and government accountability. These responsibilities matter to me because I believe taxpayers deserve transparency about how public money is managed.
My priorities for this office include responsible financial oversight, transparency in government spending, and ensuring that public resources are managed in the best interests of Californians.
I’m supporting Rob Bonta because of his experience as California Attorney General and his work involving consumer protection, civil rights, and enforcement of state laws.
I believe the Attorney General’s office plays an important role in holding corporations and government institutions accountable, protecting Californians’ rights, and ensuring that laws are applied fairly.
I also value an Attorney General who is willing to challenge federal government actions through the courts when there are legitimate legal or constitutional concerns.
My priorities are accountability, equal protection under the law, and an independent justice system.
I support Ben Allen because I believe California needs stronger oversight and accountability of insurance companies. Homeowners deserve affordable insurance that provides reliable coverage when they need it most.
Allen has experience working on insurance and wildfire-related legislation, and I support his approach of strengthening consumer protections, improving enforcement, and holding insurers accountable.
Insurance companies should be able to operate profitably, but not at the expense of consumers. I want practical reforms that protect homeowners, improve affordability, and ensure insurance companies fulfill their obligations.
I’m supporting Avelino Valencia because of his experience representing Orange County in the California State Assembly and his background in local government.
I value elected officials who understand the needs of their communities and the challenges facing working families. Housing affordability, the cost of living, public education, and responsible government spending are important priorities for me.
As he seeks to represent Senate District 34, I’m particularly interested in how his legislative experience and understanding of Orange County will translate into addressing these issues.
I’m supporting Mark E. Pulido for California State Assembly District 67.
When evaluating candidates for the State Assembly, my priorities include affordable housing, the rising cost of living, public education, healthcare access, and responsible government spending.
I want representatives who listen to their communities, prioritize transparency, and work toward practical solutions that benefit working families.
These are the standards I will use to evaluate his work and hold him accountable if elected.
I’m supporting Lou Correa because I want Democrats to have a stronger voice in Congress and believe it’s important to maintain checks and balances on the Trump administration.
My decision is primarily about the direction of the federal government and the importance of congressional oversight and accountability. I want elected representatives who will question executive decisions and help ensure that no administration operates without meaningful scrutiny.
