Dr. Benson is the former Blue Valley Schools Superintendent and a lifelong educator. He served as a Kansas State Legislator; has a strong understanding of school finance and related legislation.
Benson has an extensive background in education, as a teacher, administrator and Superintendent, including as Superintendent for Blue Valley, while the district experienced a big growth spurt. Since then, he has also served in the state legislature. It would be almost impossible to find someone THIS qualified to serve on the Board. Benson is also a Gun Sense Candidate, meaning he has pledged to govern with gun violence prevention in mind.
David Benson was an endorsed candidate on Game On's "rosters" for the Kansas legislature based on his strong policy positions and voting record. Those same qualifications apply to BVSD.
