Issue getting the most attention

Balance California’s budget with spending discipline and fair revenue instead of relying only on cuts.

Set clear priorities for taxpayer spending and seek to end a tax and spend budget culture.

Issue with the biggest divide

Fund mental-health and substance-use treatment, tie diversion to real treatment, and address repeat and organized retail theft.

Overturn laws and policies that limit how police respond to crime.

Reduce or eliminate state taxes on essentials, expand the California Earned Income Tax Credit, and close loopholes.

Require broad support for tax increases, keep the two-thirds vote for special taxes, and oppose AB 1768 local sales taxes.

Provide housing, mental health care, recovery programs, job training, and other support to unsheltered residents.

Tailor homelessness responses to different causes instead of using one uniform approach.

Provide responsible budgeting and transparency for taxpayers.

Post the state budget online in a machine-readable format.
