Issue getting the most attention

Use one-stop permitting after disasters while providing oversight, accountability, and faster fire rebuilding.

Expedite rebuilding permits with soil testing and require stronger fire-resistant construction standards.

Issue with the biggest divide

Advance universal coverage through a public option called “CalCare for All Who Want It.”

Supports a Medicare-for-All single-payer model.

Leverage sales and property tax revenues for fire recovery, seek ULA transfer-tax disaster-zone exemptions, and waive disaster-area permitting fees.

Provide five-year tax relief for fire recovery.

Defend and fully fund AB 715 protections in K-12 schools.

Support increased public-school funding and use state dollars to offset federal education cuts.

Strengthen licensing and training requirements, ban weapons convertible into machine guns, and close sales and gun-show loopholes.

Invest more in gun control.
