Representative - California's 5th Congressional District, US House of Representatives
Supporters describe a lawmaker who stands firm on conservative principles and keeps fighting for district priorities even under pressure. The backing comes from major Republican leaders, conservative advocacy groups, and local party organizations, pointing to confidence in a consistent record on fiscal issues, gun rights, and Central Valley water concerns.
Tom has my enthusiastic support for re-election. I know from experience that there are few folks like him in Washington who stand up for their districts and for principle—even if their own party doesn't like it. Tom is one of them, and he always joins me in the fight for guaranteed water deliveries to our farms and communities throughout the Central Valley. We need Tom back—not only to fight for more water—but for the soul of this country, which is rapidly vanishing under Biden's leftist regime.
Rep. Tom McClintock has been a steadfast supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship since his 2008 election to represent suburban Sacramento. After October 7th, McClintock cosponsored and voted for legislation backing Israel and affirming its right to self-defense while condemning Hamas and its barbaric attack on the Jewish state. He also stated: “America must stand resolutely with Israel as it defends its people from this barbaric sneak attack and annihilates those responsible.” The Californian backed supplemental security assistance for the Jewish state and signed a letter urging continued aid to Israel without additional conditions. In addition, he signed another letter denouncing South Africa’s allegations of genocide before the International Court of Justice. McClintock, co-chair of the Congressional Iran Human Rights and Democracy Caucus, also was a signatory on a letter urging the administration to utilize both sanctions and diplomacy to curb Iran’s belligerent activities, and he voted against the Iran deal in 2015. McClintock traveled to Israel with AIPAC's sister foundation in 2009.
