Representing a Bakersfield-based Central Valley district since his election in 2024, Rep. Vince Fong has been a supporter of the U.S. – Israel relationship since taking office. Fong voted to sanction the International Criminal Court for its targeting of Israeli leaders and cosponsored the Enhanced Iran Sanctions Act. He also signed onto a letter to President Trump calling for the complete dismantlement of the Iranian nuclear program. Following the U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear infrastructure, Fong said, “President Trump’s decisive action to eliminate the nuclear capabilities posed by the Iranian regime was a necessary one to prevent a real and catastrophic threat. Iran can NEVER be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.”
