Assemblymember - District 19, California State Assembly
Support comes from both a San Francisco senior and a local elected official, pointing to appeal across everyday residents and civic leadership. With only two endorsements and no stated rationale, the support suggests confidence from community members and people familiar with neighborhood concerns and local government.
Stefani had a productive first term: she passed the Restitution First Act (victims paid before fines) and a license plate cover ban used to dodge toll cameras. Gun safety is her signature issue — she founded SF's Moms Demand Action chapter and authored SF's first ghost gun ban.
I’ve followed Stefani’s career since she was a supervisor here in SF. She’s been very focused on gun safety and victim advocacy. She’s not trying to do everything, she’s made those issues her expertise, and she’s been as focused and successful as you can imagine. She’s not keeping her assembly seat warm, biding her time, she’s used all her political chits to work this issue. It pains me that she’s going to get termed out after this. She’s been successful passing laws to reduce gun violence and support victims, and I hope to heck she runs for state senate after this. We would be diminished to not have such an advocate in office.
