Dimple Ajmera

Councilmember Dimple Ajmera has championed Charlotte’s working families since joining City Council in 2017. She expanded affordable housing, strengthened public safety, advocated for language access, and helped expand healthcare access.

Councilwoman Ajmera is a two-time FOP endorsed councilwoman and Chairs the City of Charlotte's Budget Committee and serves as a member of the Housing & Community Safety Committee. Councilwoman Ajmera championed providing city healthcare coverages for families of employees killed in the line of duty after the death of CMPD Officer Joshua Eyer, who was killed on April 29, 2024. Due to Councilwoman Ajmera, this benefit was unanimously approved by all members of council.
