Founder, Fair Map Fight Club
Support centers on a values-driven message that connects the war in Gaza to broader questions about America’s democratic principles. With only one available endorsement, the record supports a narrow but clear case: backers see a willingness to confront urgent moral issues and push for deeper national self-examination.

She explicitly links the 'genocide in Gaza' to a need for America to re-examine its democratic values.

Despite her background as a Democrat and her open acknowledgment of switching parties to challenge gerrymandering, Kate Barr brings practical, people-focused policies that directly benefit the constituents of North Carolina's 14th District, rather than serving as a partisan rubber stamp for Trump administration policies that have negatively impacted the area. As a behavioral scientist and advocate for fair maps, she offers a fresh, non-ideological perspective in a district where the primary effectively decides the winner due to its Republican lean. For these reasons, I endorse Kate Barr in the Republican primary, urging voters to look beyond affiliations and prioritize substantive ideas that serve the community.

We need more out-of-the-box strategies to win elections to protect our rights in NC. Kate Barr is doing just that! She changed her affiliation as a longtime Democrat to run in the Republican primary against Tim Moore, one of the architects of gerrymandering in NC. Kate is running on a platform of Fair Maps, Fair Play, Fair Prices and Fair Chances. These are values aligned with RWB & Troublemakers in CD14.
